Welcome

BoothbysWorkShop.com is a personal audio site. I am Eddie Boothby, and I built it and run it. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Using the site

You may view and use the site for personal, non-commercial use and share links to it. You may share your own Drop it clips as the Copyright Notice explains. Please do not sell the site’s code or content, or present them as yours.

The music

The music I pick belongs to the artists, labels and publishers who made it, and listening here gives you no licence to copy, download or reuse it. My own tracks and mixes stay mine. The Copyright Notice has the details and how a rights holder can reach me.

What you make is yours

The music, samples, loops, beats, voices, pictures, words and videos you bring to the site or make with its tools are yours, music included. I do not claim them, keep them or take a licence to them, apart from what you choose to send in yourself (the Clips Archive or the wall). Where the site adds a flag, it is the site name, BoothbysWorkShop.com. It shows where something was made and does not change who made it. Please leave it in place when you share. You are responsible for having the right to use what you bring.

The Tribe (membership)

Joining the Tribe is free. You must be 13 or older, and if you are under 18 please ask a parent or guardian first. Give a real email address, pick a Tribe name that is not rude, not a link and not someone else, and keep your password to yourself. One person, one account. A Tribe name can be seen by others on the wall, so do not use your real full name. Wall posts you make while signed in show under your Tribe name and are checked like every other post. I may switch off or remove an account that breaks these terms, and I may close sign-ups at any time. You can delete your account any time from your Tribe panel.

Members get more from the tools than visitors do, for example longer files, more choices and saved projects. There are four groups: Visitor (not joined), Tribe member, Crew and Gold. What each group gets can change over time. Limits are there to keep the site fast for everyone.

Gold is the top group. It belongs to the site’s own owner and staff accounts, which are made when an owner or staff member signs in to the private Control Room and work only while that sign-in is live, and the owner may also give Gold to a person. Staff accounts cannot be reached from sign-up, the Tribe sign-in box or Forgot password, and Gold is not for sale.

The tools

The audio and video tools run in your browser on your own files. Only use music, voices and pictures that you own or have the right to use. I do not check or keep your files, so you are responsible for what you make and where you share it. Videos you make with the clip and promo tools are yours to share, with the site credit and link they carry. Results are provided as they are.

Your submissions

Messages, wall posts and requests you send must be lawful and must not be abusive, hateful, sexual, about drugs, spam or infringing. Do not post links, contact details, ages, schools or addresses. The wall is filtered by software and read by me before anything shows, and I may refuse or remove anything at any time without a reason. Every shout-out can be reported by other visitors. You keep ownership of what you write, and you give me permission to show it on the site and use it to run the site.

Fair use of the service

Do not attack, overload, scrape in bulk, probe or try to break into the site or its admin area. Do not try to get around the limits of the tools or the filter.

No warranty

The site, including flashing visuals and audio features, is provided “as is” without warranties. Some effects use strobing and fast motion. If you are sensitive to flashing lights, use the site with care or turn effects down. To the extent allowed by law, I am not liable for losses arising from use of the site.

A growing site

BoothbysWorkShop.com keeps growing. Features may be added, changed, paused or removed at any time, including memberships and the sale of products or other items. Extra terms, such as prices, refunds and account rules, will be posted before any paid feature starts. Nothing on the site is a promise that a particular feature will always be offered.

Changes and contact

I may update these terms and I will change the date above when I do. Questions go to me through the contact form on the site or at Info@BoothbysWorkShop.com.
